 Columbariums are usually made of pre-cast concrete and faced with brick, stone, or granite. They are often two-sided and have numbered rows and columns to identify each niche. 

  Niches are marked with an engraved faceplate that identifies who is buried there. Bronze fronts can be customized with information about the deceased, while granite fronts are more difficult to customize. 

 Columbariums are generally low-maintenance and don't require much upkeep. 

 Columbariums are a compact option that can reduce the demand for land use.
